11、tionshipbetweeneconomicgrowthFDIhumancapital.WealsoinvestigatetheeffectofFDIondomesticinvestmentnamelywhetherthereisevidencethattheinflowoffeigncapital‘crowdsout’domesticinvestment.Inprinciplethiseffectcouldhaveeithersig

12、n:bycompetinginproductfinancialmarketsMNCsmaydisplacedomesticfirmsconverselyFDImaysuppttheexpansionofdomesticfirmsbycomplementarityinproductionbyincreasingproductivitythroughthespilloverofadvancedtechnology.Ourresultsare

13、supptiveofacrowdingineffectthatisaonedollarincreaseintheinflowofFDIisassociatedwithanincreaseintotalinvestmentinthehosteconomyofmethanonedollarbutdonotappeartobeveryrobust.ThusitappearsthatthemainchannelthroughwhichFDIco
