3、tion.China’smodernhighereducationpatternshavedevelopedfromlearningfromthewesterntoimitatingJapantolearningfromAmerica.ItisaprocessofcontinuousstudylearningfromthedevelopedcountriesaddingittoChina’straditionaleducationgra

4、duallybuildingnewhighereducationpatterns.Eachtimechoosingchangingthemodelswasdeeplyinfluencedbythecomplexchangeablepoliticalsituation.China’sevolutionofmodernhighereducationmodelsisreflectedintheeducationsystemsaimsoftra

5、iningestablishmentofcurriculumstherearedifferentfeaturesindifferentperiods.Accdingtothedifferentstudyingobjectsthepatternsmaysketchilydividedintothreestagestherebeingrespectivefeaturesindifferentstages.During18621904they

6、learnedfromwesternhighereducationpatterns.Itwasmanagedbythegovernmentwithnoclearhierarchies.AimingateducatingspecialstudentswithwesternlanguageswesternskillsonlysimplecurriculumsaboutChineseartswesternsciencewereestablis

7、hed.In19041922theyimitatedJapanpublicuniversitiesweremainlybuilt.Instructuringthehighereducationsystemstherewastimederwiththreelevels.Aimingateducatingvariousspecialstudentstomeettheneedofmodernindustrycommercethescience

8、technology’sdevelopingpoliticstransfmingfeudalethicscurriculumsmodernscientificcurriculumswereunifiedthecurriculumsystemiscomplicatedbuttherewasnationalconsolidatestard.During19221949theylearnedfromAmerica.Theuniversitie
