49、lt;p> 1、無線電波的覆蓋范圍廣,基于藍牙技術的電波覆蓋范圍非常小,半徑大約只有50英尺左右,約合15米。而Wi-Fi的半徑則可達300英尺左右,約合100米。最近由Vivato公司推出的一款新型交換機,該款產品能夠把目前Wi-Fi無線網絡300英尺,接近100米的通信距離擴大到4英里,約6.5公里。</p><p> 2、雖然由Wi-Fi技術傳輸?shù)臒o線通信質量不是很好,數(shù)據安全性能比藍牙差一些,傳
50、輸質量也有待改進,但傳輸速度非常快,可以達到11Mbps,符合個人和社會信息化的需求。 </p><p> 3、廠商進入該領域的門檻比較低。廠商只要在機場、車站、咖啡店、圖書館等人員較密集的地方設置“熱點”,并通過高速線路將因特網接入上述場所。這樣由于“熱點”所發(fā)射出的電波可以達到距接入點半徑數(shù)十米至100米的地方,用戶只要將支持無線LAN的筆記本電腦或PDA拿到該區(qū)域內,即可高速接入因特網。也就是說廠商不用耗
51、費資金來進行網絡布線接入,從而節(jié)省了大量的成本。</p><p><b> Wi-Fi組建方法</b></p><p> Wi-Fi是由AP(Access Point)和無線網卡組成的無線網絡。一般架設無線網絡的基本配備就是無線網卡及一臺AP,如此便能以無線的模式,配合既有的有線架構來分享網絡資源,架設費用和復雜程序遠遠低于傳統(tǒng)的有線網絡。如果只是幾臺電腦的對等網
52、,也可不要AP,只需要每臺電腦配備無線網卡。AP一般翻譯為“無線訪問節(jié)點”,或“橋接器”。它主要當作傳統(tǒng)的有線局域網絡與無線局域網絡之間的橋梁,因此任何一臺裝有無線網卡的PC均可透過AP去分享有線局域網絡甚至廣域網絡的資源,其工作原理相當于一個內置無線發(fā)射器的HUB或者是路由,而無線網卡則是負責接收由AP所發(fā)射信號的CLIENT端設備。有了AP就像一般有線網絡的Hub一般,無線工作站可以快速且輕易地與網絡相連。特別是對于寬帶的使用,Wi
53、-Fi更顯優(yōu)勢,有線寬帶網絡(ADSL、小區(qū)LAN等)到戶后,連接到一個AP,然后在電腦中安裝一塊無線網卡即可。普通的家庭有一個AP已經足夠,甚至用戶的鄰里得到授權后,則無需增加端口,也能以共享的方式上網。 </p><p> Wi-Fi是高速有線接入技術的補充</p><p> 目前,有線接入技術主要包括以太網、xDSL等。Wi-Fi技術作為高速有線接入技術的補充,具有為可移動性、價
54、格低廉的優(yōu)點,Wi-Fi技術廣泛應用于有線接入需無線延伸的領域,如臨時會場等。由于數(shù)據速率、覆蓋范圍和可靠性的差異,Wi-Fi技術在寬帶應用上將作為高速有線接入技術的補充。而關鍵技術無疑決定著Wi-Fi的補充力度?,F(xiàn)在OFDM、MIMO(多入多出)、智能天線和軟件無線電等,都開始應用到無線局域網中以提升Wi-Fi性能,比如說802.11n計劃采用MIMO與OFDM相結合,使數(shù)據速率成倍提高。另外,天線及傳輸技術的改進使得無線局域網的傳輸
55、距離大大增加,可以達到幾公里。</p><p> Wi-Fi是蜂窩移動通信與3G的補充</p><p> Wi-Fi技術的次要定位----蜂窩移動通信的補充。蜂窩移動通信可以提供廣覆蓋、高移動性和中低等數(shù)據傳輸速率,它可以利用Wi-Fi高速數(shù)據傳輸?shù)奶攸c彌補自己數(shù)據傳輸速率受限的不足。而Wi-Fi不僅可利用蜂窩移動通信網絡完善的鑒權與計費機制,而且可結合蜂窩移動通信網絡廣覆蓋的特點進行
56、多接入切換功能。這樣就可實現(xiàn)Wi-Fi與蜂窩移動通信的融合,使蜂窩移動通信的運營錦上添花,進一步擴大其業(yè)務量。對于電信運營商來說,Wi-Fi技術的定位主要是作為高速有線接入技術的補充,逐漸也會成為蜂窩移動通信的補充。當然Wi-Fi與蜂窩移動通信也存在少量競爭。一方面,用于Wi-Fi的IP話音終端已經進入市場,這對蜂窩移動通信有一部分替代作用。另一方面,隨著蜂窩移動通信技術的發(fā)展,熱點地區(qū)的Wi-Fi公共應用也可能被蜂窩移動通信系統(tǒng)部分取
